Established in 1997, the seed for Evolu's creation was really planted years earlier when founder Kati Kasza worked as an international flight attendant and training manager for Air New Zealand.

Routinely dealing with drying air-conditioned interiors, endless timezone changes and countless hours of abbreviated steep, she struggled with unbalanced , depleted skin that was crying out for rescue...

Determined to find a balanced solution, one that would naturally renew, restore and protect her skin, Kati drew inspiration from her Hungarian family upbringing in New Zealand: her father was a pioneer winemaker, and her mother an expert herbalist.

Imbued with their botanical knowledge and passion for the beneficial properties of plants, Kati brought to life her unique vision: skincare that would not only restore natural balance, but also be a pleasure to wear.

We take care to consider all our packaging is best for its purpose and seek to use recyclable materials whenever possible to minimise its impact on the environment.

Evolu is a CarboNZero™ Certified organisation. Audited annually, we measure, minimise and offset our emissions, to maintain the 'carbon neutral' status of our operations.

Evolu also proudly supports Tree That Count, to plant native trees to help protect New Zealand's threatened biodiversity. That’s good for our carbon footprint, and good for Aotearoa.

Our products are pH balanced and contain no parabens, petrochemicals, mineral oils, phthalates, sulfates, artificial colours or fragrances.

We use broad-spectrum preservatives, of the highest quality and at absolute minimum concentrations, to ensure product safety. All of our products formulated without water are preservative free.

Most of our products are Vegan friendly. Those that use Manuka honey or beeswax meet the criteria of 'Beegan' (vegans who don't exclude bee by-products) friendly. All our products are suitable for vegetarians.

We don't use any genetically engineered extracts. We don't test on animals. We avoid harsh alcohols and salicylic acid.
